SACRAMENTS
All are invited to share in the sacramental life of St. Joseph Parish. Hours for the healing Sacrament of Penance (reconciliation) are Saturdays, 3:30pm-4:45pm; Sundays, 7:15am-7:45am and 9:15am-9:45am; and by appointment. To receive the Anointing of the Sick, please call the Parish Office. Please visit the Preparing for Sacraments page (under Faith Formation) for information on the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Holy Orders, and Matrimony.
INVITATIONS TO PRAYER
Eucharistic Adoration in the Tabernacle: Come to pray, reflect, or simply rest in Our Lord’s presence in the Blessed Sacrament. The church is open for prayer time: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 6:30am – 9am, then noon – 9pm; Tuesday & Thursday, 6:30am – 9pm; Saturday, 7:00am-6:30pm; and 7am-8pm on Sunday.
While Jesus is always available for us to visit in the church tabernacle, we are gradually expanding our traditional Eucharistic Adoration hours. Presently, Jesus is exposed in the monstrance every Tuesday – Friday, 7am-8am, and on Thursday, 9am-9pm. If you are able to commit to one hour during this time frame, please call or email the Parish Office. Si hablas español, call David Ortega at 515-402-4734.
First Sunday Rosary, Exposition & Benediction: On the first Sunday every month, all are invited to the church at 4pm for 20 Decades of the Rosary, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, and Benediction. Please join us for this longstanding prayer tradition at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
SERVICE
Our various councils, committees, and ministries provide year-round opportunities for individuals to share their gifts in the service of the campus and extended community. Please visit the Service Groups and Mass Ministries pages (under Councils & Service) for information on the groups and activities that best fit your time, talents, and treasures.
FELLOWSHIP
St. Joseph’s offers abundant opportunities for fellowship and faith-building, many of which were halted during the pandemic. However, signs of parish life are returning! Be sure to visit the Parish Center after most Sunday Masses for lively social time with coffee and donuts. Looking for a scripture study or other opportunity to connect with fellow parishioners? Check out our Sunday bulletin and the Faith Formation tab for the most current opportunities. We also invite you to experience the wonderful online community for Catholics worldwide, Formed.org!
